My name is Amy, and I am a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based artist with a deep-rooted passion for creativity, a sentiment I have nurtured throughout my life and career. My artistic journey truly began in 2019 when I discovered watercolor as a new creative outlet. I was drawn to watercolor’s unpredictability and the way it moves, learning to appreciate the beauty of unplanned surprises both in my art and in life.
My interest in creative pursuits is lifelong, evident from childhood activities like making paper flower bouquets and my love for coloring, drawing, and crafting. I chose a career as an early childhood teacher, a path that allowed me to be highly creative. My career path later transitioned into school libraries and then a community college library. This last transition happened about the time I began to discover watercolor tutorials on YouTube. I began sharing my work on Instagram, and continue to reach an audience beyond that platform.
In my watercolor designs, I feature a range of subjects including florals, birds, nature, and iconic Tulsa landmarks.
